Who we are

FCCIS (Field Compliance & Certification Inspection System) is operated by Florida Coastal Construction Inspection Services LLC (“FCCIS,” “we,” “us”). FCCIS is business software used by commercial inspection firms to manage projects, field inspections, reports, and certificates of compliance. This policy covers the FCCIS web application at app.fccis.com, the FCCIS mobile app, and the fccis.com website.

What we collect

  • Account information — your name, email address, phone number, and professional license details, provided when you or your firm create your account.
  • Inspection records — projects, permits, observations, photographs, documents, reports, and certificates that your firm creates in the course of its work. These records may include names and contact details of project owners, contractors, and site contacts.
  • Usage and device data — sign-in events and basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the service. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site trackers.

How we use it

  • To provide the service: storing and organizing your firm's inspection work.
  • To power product features: for example, a photographed permit is processed by an AI vision model to pre-fill project fields, and inspection findings may be processed by an AI model to draft report text. AI output is always reviewed by your firm before it becomes part of a record; AI providers are contractually barred from training on this data.
  • To secure the service, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
  • We do not sell personal data. We do not share it with advertisers.

Where it lives and how it's protected

  • Data is stored with Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage) in the United States, encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
  • Every database record is scoped to the owning firm with row-level security: members of one firm cannot read another firm's data.
  • Photographs and documents are stored in private buckets and served only through authenticated, expiring links.
  • Client-portal links are unlisted, expiring, revocable tokens mediated by our servers — recipients never receive database credentials.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers needed to run FCCIS (hosting, database, and AI processing as described above), with the authorities having jurisdiction when your firm chooses to submit a report or certificate, and when required by law. Your firm controls its own sharing — for example, sending a report to a client through the portal.

Retention and deletion

  • Inspection records are business records of the inspecting firm and are retained per the firm's legal obligations (building compliance records are typically subject to mandatory retention periods).
  • You can delete your account at any time from Billing & Settings → Delete account (in the app). Deletion removes your login and erases your personal details (name, email, phone, license). Firm inspection records are retained by the firm with your authorship anonymized to “Deleted user.”
  • Firms may request full export or deletion of their firm data by contacting us.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Contact us (or use the in-app deletion flow) and we will respond within 30 days. We do not discriminate against anyone exercising these rights.

Children

FCCIS is business software for licensed inspection professionals and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes and contact

If we make material changes to this policy we will update the effective date above and notify active accounts. Questions or requests: support@fccis.com or the contact form on fccis.com.
