Terms of Service

Effective July 30, 2026

Who we are and what FCCIS is

FCCIS (Field Compliance & Certification Inspection System) is operated by Florida Coastal Construction Inspection Services LLC (“FCCIS,” “we,” “us”). FCCIS is business software that helps licensed inspection firms and their clients manage projects, permits, field inspections, reports, and certificates of compliance. These terms cover the FCCIS web application at app.fccis.com, the FCCIS mobile app, and the fccis.com website (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, if you use FCCIS for a firm, that firm.

Professional responsibility stays with the licensee

FCCIS is a documentation and workflow tool. It is not an inspector, engineer, or authority having jurisdiction, and it does not perform inspections or make compliance determinations. Every inspection result, report, and certificate produced through the Service is the professional work product of the licensed individual or firm that issues it, and that licensee remains solely responsible for its accuracy and for compliance with the laws, codes, and licensing rules that apply to their practice.

AI-assisted features

  • Some features use AI models to save you typing — for example, reading a photographed permit to pre-fill project fields, or drafting report text from inspection findings. AI output is a draft: it can be wrong, and the Service presents it for your review and editing before it becomes part of any record.
  • Code references shown in the Service are paraphrased summaries for informational purposes only. They are not legal advice, code compliance determinations, or engineering conclusions. Always verify against the governing code cycle and engage a licensed professional for professional conclusions.
  • “AI-Certified Report” describes a report drafted with AI assistance and certified by the issuing licensee. It does not mean certification by FCCIS, any government body, or any code authority.

Your account and acceptable use

  • Keep your credentials to yourself and tell us promptly at support@fccis.com if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • Provide accurate information, including professional license details where the Service asks for them.
  • Do not use the Service to break the law, to misrepresent inspection results, to issue reports or certificates you are not licensed to issue, or to present AI output as a professional determination without licensed review.
  • Do not probe, disrupt, or attempt to access data belonging to another firm. Do not resell or white-label the Service without a written agreement with us.

Your data

Inspection records your firm creates in the Service are your firm's business records — you own them. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, display, and transmit them to operate the Service (including the AI processing described above; our AI providers are contractually barred from training on your data). Our collection and handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms. You can export your firm's data or delete your account as described there.

Billing

Paid plans are billed per seat monthly, plus metered charges per AI-Certified Report, at the prices shown when you subscribe. Fees are charged through our payment processor (Stripe) and are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel any time; cancellation stops future charges and your plan runs through the end of the paid period. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice to active subscribers.

Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, but the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We may add, change, or retire features; if we discontinue the Service we will give active firms reasonable notice and a way to export their records.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: FCCIS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, arising from use of the Service; and our total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Because professional responsibility for inspection work stays with the issuing licensee, FCCIS is not liable for the content, accuracy, or consequences of any report or certificate issued by a licensee through the Service.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, create risk for other users, or fail to pay, with notice where practicable. On termination your firm may request an export of its records as described in the Privacy Policy.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.

Changes and contact

If we make material changes to these terms we will update the effective date above and notify active accounts; continued use after notice means you accept the updated terms. Questions: support@fccis.com or the contact form on fccis.com.
